Photo 33: Week Thirty-Six

Wednesday afternoon we came home to find a dead bird in the driveway. My son was convinced I had run it over with the car, but I pointed out why that wasn’t possible. (Plus I had noticed it as I pulled in.) It seemed strange, though – I know birds and other animals die all the time, but it happening so randomly in my driveway seemed unsettling. Luckily our cat is an indoor cat, so I know no one in this household is guilty.

That just goes to say that of course my photos this week focus on the bird. If you don’t like dead things or a little gore, you might not want to click on. To start these five photos off on a cheerful note, there was a beautiful sunset the next night that made the cut (numbers 5 and 1, if you want to close your eyes and scroll past numbers 4 through 2).
